New Year's Eve Wok ‘N Walk Tour of Chinatown

If you've been waiting until the last minute to make New Year's plans, consider Chinese -- and we don't mean staying in and getting takeout.

The Wok 'n Walk Tour of Chinatown in Philadelphia will take you through a two-hour tour winding through some of the best (i.e., yummiest) the neighborhood has to offer. The night even wraps up at a fortune cookie factory. Maybe you can discover out what your fortune will predict for the New Year!

The tour also includes stops at a Chinese bakery (opt for the bubble tea!), a Chinese bookstore and market where you can learn about Eastern remedies and herbs, and a Buddhist temple.

You also have the chance to receive some free gifts. Listen carefully along the tour -- Chef Joseph Poon will give out prizes for his quiz questions along the way.

You're going to work up quite the appetite along the way, but they'll have you covered. Chef Poon's team will serve you a multi-course lunch or dinner depending on the hours of your tour. (See menu here.)

The tour departs from Joseph Poon Chef Kitchen (1010 Cherry St., Philadelphia, Penn.). Tickets are $60 for adults and $30 for kids; you can register online in advance and make a deposit of $15 per person for the tour.
