Go Green or Go Home: Trash to Treasure Fair

What better way to use all of your energy than to attend the fourth annual Trash to Treasure Fair (301 Watkins Park Drive, Upper Marlboro, Md.). This green fest encourages the use of less energy, the use of biodegradable materials and how to be more sustainable.

On Saturday, Nov. 10, local crafters, artists and vendors will be selling organic, recycled and sustainably harvested goods just in time for the holidays. There will be hands-on activities and crafts for kids, and nonprofit groups will dish out info on sustainability.

This free event is at the Watkins Nature Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Raffle tickets will be sold to benefit the Nature Center with prizes that include party packages, hand-crafted art and spa treatments.
Upper Marlboro, Md., is about 30 minutes from downtown D.C.
