Annapolis Holiday Candlelight Stroll

Nobody walks in L.A. -- oh wait, we're not in L.A. and this is not a Missing Persons song.

This is Annapolis we're talking about, a town where everyone is pretty much required to walk, especially during the Holiday Candlelight Stroll this weekend.

Dress warmly -- you'll want to be bundled up as a tour guide (dressed in colonial attire) tell you about yule logs, the story of Santa Claus, evergreens and the meaning behind many Christmas traditions.

Walk along the streets of Annapolis, past colonial mansions, Victorian townhouses and quaint shops as the glow of lanterns guide the way (and hey, they're a wonderful fashion accessory!) It's not every day you can walk around with a lantern and not be looked at funny.

Tours run from 7 to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday, Dec. 16-17. They depart from the information booth at the city dock (1 Dock St., Annapolis, Md.). Tickets are $16 per adult and $10 per child.
