The Fall and Rise of “Rome”

Long Live "Rome." The critically acclaimed HBO series named for the city that launched an empire was short lived, but appears to be getting a new life on the big screen in a sequel that is already underway, according to EW.com.

Creator and executive producer Bruno Heller -- who went on to create "The Mentalist" -- has reportedly finished the script. The sword, sandal and sex series had centered on soldiers Titus Pullo (Ray Stevenson) and Lucius Vorenus (Kevin McKidd) who seemed to have died in the final episode.

But according to the reports, the two soldiers are reporting for duty again thanks to the magic of film. The new series will pick up in Germany four years after the last series ended.
