Welcome to Watch List, where we identify five things on TV to watch while you stay at home and watch exhaustive coverage of the death of bin Laden. LET’S GO!
THE NEWS – All night (MSNBC, FOX News, CNN, etc.) There’s a lot of your usual programming on tonight, but you’re probably going to eschew that in favor of learning more about the firefight that killed the worst mass murderer in American history. There’s nothing to indicate that normal programming will be pre-empted tonight with any kind of bin Laden special, but I’m sure networks are discussing such things as speak. ANTICIPATION: RELIEF!
LATE NIGHT WITH DAVID LETTERMAN – 11:30PM (CBS) Jets coach Rex Ryan is among the guests this evening. And really, could there be a more appropriate guest for Letterman in the wake of such news? Rex Ryan could clean out Al Qaeda barehanded. ANTICIPATION: REXY!
HOUSE – 8:00PM (FOX) Candice Bergen is back as Cuddy’s mom, and your other guest patient tonight is “Terriers” star Donal Logue, who will always be the cabbie from the old MTV ads to me. COCHISE! ANTICIPATION: SABOTAGE!
REMEMBER ME – 9:00PM (Showtime2) Bin Laden’s death could also trigger a spate of 9/11-related programming. It just so happens that Showtime2 is airing one of the very worst examples of that this evening. Watch it, if only to get a glimpse at Robert Pattinson’s future direct-to-DVD career. ANTICIPATION: PATTINSON!
KATE PLUS 8 – 10:00PM (TLC) The brood travels to Philly. ANTICIPATION: SHE’S STILL AT LARGE!
