So David Lynch made a record, "Crazy Clown Time," and the first single is hear for your listening pleasure...

"Pinky's Dream" has Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs handling the lead vocals. Karen O has been spending quite a bit of time with filmmakers of late, having earlier this year recorded a cover of Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song" for David Fincher's remake of "Girl with the Dragon Tatto."

We skipped through a few of the tracks, it's all pretty dark (natch) and electro/synth-heavy, and Lynch's vocals have been studio-massaged to the point of sounding almost like HAL. But while the album is clearly a vanity project that bears no threat to his film career, it's not an embarrassment. It's telling that the first single is the one that Karen O sings, ain't it?
