”Kick-Ass” Headlining SXSW Film Fest

The South by Southwest Music+Film+Interactive festival will feature an assortment of world premieres, Sundance favorites and a number of small films that have remained below the radar.

In addition to the hotly anticipated "Kick Ass," other world premieres at this year's fest offers include "MacGruber," based on the "SNL" sketch featuring Will Forte, "Mr. Nice," starring Rhys Ifans as Howard Marks, once Britain's most wanted man, and "Leaves of Grass," written and directed by Tim Blake Nelson, about the diametrically opposed fortunes of identical twins.

Among the Sundance 2010 alum are "Cyrus," starring Marisa Tomei, John C. Reilly and Jonah Hill trapped in an Oedipal love triangle, "Get Low," starring Robert Duvall as a man who wants to attend his own funeral and Bill Murray as the mortician only too glad to help, and "The Runaways," starring Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning in the story of Joan Jett's first band.

And of course there are other musically inclined documentary offerings, like "Strange Powers: Stephen Merritt and The Magnetic Fields" and "Lemmy," about the iconic frontman for Motorhead.
