“Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson” Director Sought for “Heck” Adaptation

"Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson," was one of the more surprising recent Broadway hits, a rock musical that traced the career of our seventh president, and helped launch rising star Benjamin Walker. Now, the show's director about to get a boost as well.

Alex Timbers, who wrote and directed "BBAJ," is being courted by MGM to helm a big screen adaptation of "Heck: Where the Bad Kids Go," Dale E. Basye's series of books, reported Vulture. Given Timbers' CV, we'll assume they intend to make the film a musical.

The books are basically a young-adult take on Dante's "Inferno." Here's this from the series' official website:

When Milton and Marlo Faustus die in a marshmallow bear explosion, they get sent straight to Heck, an otherworldly reform school. Milton can understand why his kleptomaniac sister is here, but Milton is--or was--a model citizen.

Has a mistake been made? Not according to Bea "Esla" Bubb, the Principal of Darkness. She doesn't make mistakes, or tolerate them.
