“Boss” Director Lists Tree House-Like Home

Actor-director Mario Van Peebles, a director on the popular series "Boss," recently listed his Hollywood Hills home for $1.675 million, according to the Los Angeles Times. Van Peebles' home is anything but ordinary. In fact, from the looks of the listing photos, the pad resembles a tree house.

The wooded custom-built compound boasts 4,225 square feet of living space, along with a guest house. Van Peebles' crib boasts terraces on every level, four bedrooms, four baths, as well as a 1,200-square-foot private master suite with a glass ceiling.

The less-than-ordinary features of the secluded property include stairway handles made from recycled metals, mosaic tile accents, a rope swing for kids in the master bedroom, and an outdoor brick barbecue.

The Times reports that Van Peebles scooped up the home in 1989 for $875,000 and is selling because his kids are grown, and presumably, he no longer has a need for a tree house with a rope swing.

We have to admit that we wish there were more public listing photos available. If the interior is as unique as the exterior, we can only imagine how cool Van Peebles' home actually looks from the inside.
