Neil Livingstone and companion Cynthia along with pampered pooch Whispers attended the 9th annual Sugar & Champagne event in honor of the Washington Human Society officers held at the Ritz Carlton last night.
Whispers, a rescue dog who was decked out in bling for the occasion, was one of dozens of dogs and their doting owners who treated their beloved pets to a day of indulgences.
Guests sipped on sparkling wines and champagne and were treated to desserts from the District's top pastry chefs courtesy of Todd and Ellen Gray of Equinox Restaurant, the event's hosts.
Chief of Police Cathy Lanier, the inspiration behind David Baldacci's latest thriller "True Blue,” also partook in the festivities.
