Virginia's Gubernatorial Candidates Will Debate on Business, Economy Sept. 25

The Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce and NBC4 will host a debate between Virginia's gubernatorial candidates Wednesday, Sept. 25.

NBC political journalist Chuck Todd will moderate.

The candidates -- Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli (R) and businessman Terry McAuliffe (D) -- will debate on the economy and other issues facing businesses in Northern Virginia.

"It is extremely important for Virginia voters to hear directly from the candidates," said Jackie Bradford, president and general manager of NBC4, in a release.

The debate will be aired live from 7 to 8 p.m. on NBC4 and NBC affiliates in Richmond, Charlottesville, Bristol and other Virginia cities.

"If the 2009 Virginia governor's race is any indication, history has shown us that to fare well in Northern Virginia, a candidate must do well in this debate," said Fairfax Chamber President and CEO Jim Corcoran, in the release.

The debate will be held at Capital One Bank headquarters in McLean.
