Va. Governor-Elect Reappoints Finance Chief

Ric Brown is staying on as Virginia's secretary of finance.

Governor-elect Terry McAuliffe announced Brown's appointment Monday. Brown served in the same position for both outgoing Republican Gov. Bob McDonnell and his predecessor, Democrat Tim Kaine. Brown has worked in state government for more than 40 years.

McAuliffe also named three other administration officials. Paul Reagan, who has advised many Virginia Democratic officials, will be his chief of staff. Regan's deputy will be Suzette Denslow, most recently the chief of staff for Richmond Mayor Dwight Jones. Levar Stoney, the former executive director of the state Democratic Party, will be secretary of the commonwealth.

It's the first batch of appointments announced by the Democratic governor-elect.
