A newly released poll shows Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton continues to have a strong lead over Republican rival Donald Trump in swing state Virginia.
The Christopher Newport University poll released Monday shows Clinton leading Trump 48 percent to 38 percent in a head-to-head matchup.
With other candidates included, the race is about even with Clinton leading Trump 39 percent to 33 percent and Libertarian Gary Johnson pulling 15 percent.
A slim majority - 53 percent - of the voters polled said they thought Trump was racist while 54 percent said Clinton cannot be trusted with classified information.
The telephone poll of 1,003 likely voters was conducted between Sept. 15 and 23 and has a margin of error of 3.9 percent.
