Lawmakers could take another look at allowing the District to tax people who work in D.C. but live in the suburbs in Virginia and Maryland.

Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., chairman of the Government Oversight Committee, which regulates D.C. government, is asking for a commuter tax hearing.

Issa did not say he supports the tax, but he said it’s worth examining since D.C. is the only place in the country that can’t level a commuter tax.
