Foust, Comstock Square Off in Congressional Debate

Democrat John Foust and Republican Barbara Comstock are scheduled to meet in a debate in their race to represent parts of northern Virginia in Congress.

The Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce is hosting the midday debate Wednesday at the conference center in Lansdowne. Loudoun County is home to roughly half the voters in Virginia's 10th congressional district.

Foust and Comstock are running for the seat long held by retiring Republican Frank Wolf.

The campaign has been one of the most closely watched nationally, and is also expected to be one of the most expensive as it plays out in the Washington media market. Foust, with an early lead in money raised and cash on hand, has been the first to mount a large-scale TV ad campaign in the district.
