District of Columbia Mayor Muriel Bowser is heading to Capitol Hill to meet with Democratic Leader Harry Reid and two other senators.
Bowser will meet with Reid at the Capitol on Thursday morning. She'll follow that up by sitting down with Republican Sen. James Lankford of Oklahoma and Democratic Sen. Barbara Mikulski of Maryland.
Lankford is one of the Republicans with the power of the purse over the District. He sits on the Appropriations Committee and the subcommittee that handles District funding.
Bowser, a Democrat, has made several trips to Capitol Hill since she took office in January and has already met with House Speaker John Boehner.
