Cuccinelli, Bolling Taking Break From Politics

Virginia's outgoing attorney general and lieutenant governor say they're taking a break from politics. But don't rule out a return at some point.

Republican Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli tells the Richmond Times-Dispatch he plans to focus on building some businesses and his law practice.

In a separate interview, Lieutenant Gov. Bill Bolling tells the Richmond newspaper he's taking on more management responsibilities as vice president of an insurance company.

Cuccinelli lost last month's race for governor to Democrat Terry McAuliffe. Bolling is stepping down after two terms after being outmaneuvered for the GOP gubernatorial nomination by Cuccinelli and his conservative supporters.

Both men declined to say "never'' when asked about a possible return to public office somewhere down the line.
