Ovi Raps, Dances, Acts Ovi-Like

In August we came across some behind the scenes footage of Alex Ovechkin shooting a rap video with Russian artist Sasha.

The song is called "Champion," and according to what we learned at the time, was said to be written for the upcoming Sochi Winter Olympics. We now have the full video thanks to a tweet from Steve Whyno of the Washington Times.

Ovi even gets his own verse in the video and RMNB has come through with the translation.

Alumni of Dynamo

In the All-Star game all attention is on me.

On the NatTeam since 17
Scored 100 points in a season
Gold medal in Canada in ’08

Among the ten best players of the decade,
Stick in my hands, Rap in my headphones,
Saying hello from Washington,
Together with Sanya Belyi,
For every champion.

Ovi’s verse starts around the 2:55 mark, but the rest of the video is worth watching if you’re into Ovi dancing, Russian athletes goofing around and one rather attractive singing lady.
