Why Robert Griffin III Wrote “Heart” On His Warmup Shirt

Before Sunday's 40-32 victory over the New Orleans Saints, the Redskins' website recorded a short video of quarterback Robert Griffin III warming up "with Heart on his chest."

RGIII has never been one to shy away from displaying his artistic skills on his gear through inspirational messages, so seeing a crudely-drawn "H" on his shirt didn't come as a surprise (have you seen his trading card?).

Yet, there was a reason why said "H" looked so weird.

According to Uni Watch's Paul Lukas, RGIII had to cover up the Nike swoosh on his warmup -- he's an Adidas guy -- so he did so by writing "Heart" on his chest. If you look very closely at the picture above, you can see the black swoosh inside the width of the "H."

Regardless, how long until local middle school and high school football players show up to games with "I-----Ieart" on their warmups?
