Playoff tickets for the Washington Nationals' National League Division Series (NLDS) home games went on sale Monday morning -- and were sold out in just 17 minutes.
Tickets for the general public became available Monday at 10 a.m. Within 15 minutes of the tickets being made available, fans hoping to snag a seat were placed in a virtual waiting room. By 10:17 a.m., all of the tickets were gone, a spokesperson for the Nats said Monday afternoon.
A message on the Nats' website now reads, "There are currently no tickets available for NLDS home games. Fans may check inventory for these games using the links below as seats may be released for sale if they become available."
Some standing room only tickets will also be made available on the day of the game.
The team will find out who they will play and what time those games will be held once the regular season standings are final.
