Will Teddy win again?
Fresh off of their appearance at Cupid's Undie Run, the Nationals' Racing Presidents are about to embark on their longest journey yet.
But this ain't no fun run.
Starting Friday, Teddy and Bill -- also known as William Howard Taft -- will kick off their rivalry by racing from Washington, D.C., to Mt. Rushmore, culminating in all five Presidents spending Presidents Day at the iconic landmark.
By my calculations, the distance is about 1,408 miles, which is equivalent to... too many races from center field to the Nationals' dugout for me to count.
You can follow Teddy and Bill's exploits on their respective Twitter feeds.
That being said, with the presidents off in South Dakota on Presidents Day, the annual tryouts to become a Racing President will be held on Saturday, March 2. Applications -- which must include a resume, cover letter and photo -- must be received by Feb. 20. All information should be sent to entertainment@nationals.com.
