Redskins To Hold Joint Practices With Patriots During Training Camp

The Washington Redskins will hold joint practices with the New England Patriots during training camp in Richmond from Aug. 4 to Aug. 6, the team announced Monday.

All three practices will free and open to the public. They will lead into the teams' preseason meeting on Aug. 7 at FedEx Field.

“Who would have guessed that we'd have two NFL teams playing football right in the center of our city,” Richmond Mayor Dwight C. Jones said in a release. “Our state-of-the-art training facility is generating excitement and exposure for Richmond, Virginia even beyond what I envisioned. Welcoming the New England Patriots to Richmond for practice sessions with the Washington Redskins this summer couldn't be more thrilling."
