The Redskins returned from their bye week with a 31-16 loss to the Cowboys that dropped them to 1-4, and if you're looking for a scapegoat to blame it on, look no further than special teams because they were certainly special Sunday evening.

Washington's unit allowed Dwayne Harris to return a punt 86 yards for a touchdown and a kickoff 90 yards that set up Tony Romo's only touchdown pass. Harris is the second player to return a punt and a kickoff for at least 85 yards in the same regular-season game and first since 1977, according to Elias Sports Bureau.

In fact, Harris accounted for 222 total return yards, nine more than the entire Cowboys offense.

But the "highlight" of the night for the special teams unit was coach Keith Burns being called for unsportsmanlike conduct for bumping into an official while standing too close to the field during Harris' aforementioned punt return. The penalty didn't account for much, but it was icing on the proverbial cake.

Or whatever the negative equivalent of that idiom is.
