The Redskins' intradivisional losing streak reached eight games Thursday in a 45-14 loss to the Giants, New York's seventh victory in its past nine visits to FedEx Field.
Eli Manning threw for 300 yards and four touchdowns -- three of which were to tight end Larry Donnell -- and ran for one more.
Meanwhile, to say Kirk Cousins struggled may be an understatement. He threw four interceptions, including three in the third quarter, stunting any Washington momentum.
The Giants scored the game's first points with excellent field position created by a sack-and-strip of Cousins by Mathias Kiwanuka. Starting at Washington's 24-yard line, Manning eventually found Donnell for a five-yard touchdown catch to give New York a 7-0 lead. Entering Thursday, the Giants had not scored a first-quarter touchdown in their previous eight games, according to the CBS broadcast.
Within the first minute of the second quarter, Donnell hauled in his second touchdown of the game to double New York's lead. Washington countered with an Andre Roberts touchdown, but Donnell once again feasted on the Redskins' secondary with yet another scoring grab in the corner of the end zone with 2:16 remaining in the first half.
The Redskins threatened to cut into the Giants' lead shortly before halftime, but Logan Paulsen -- functioning as the primary tight end after Niles Paul was knocked out of the game with a head injury following a scary collision -- was stripped at New York's 18-yard line. Josh Brown hit a 29-yard field goal as time expired to give the Giants a 24-7 lead.
Alfred Morris rumbled into the end zone from 20 yards out for a much-needed touchdown in the opening minutes of the second half. Brandon Meriweather and Keenan Robinson later teamed up to pick Manning off at the one-yard line to prevent a touchdown, but Cousins threw his second interception of the quarter two plays later to negate any positive momentum. Manning then found Daniel Fells for his fourth touchdown, effectively ending the game.

Things could get worse before they get better for the Redskins, who will face the defending champion (and rested) Seahawks next week.
