Redskins Fans Line Up Insanely Early for First Day of Training Camp

I'm not sure if you've heard, but the Redskins -- or Washington's local football team, if you prefer -- open training camp Thursday. The first day begins with a walkthrough at 10 a.m. followed by practice at 3:20 p.m.

(You can find the entire schedule here.)

Fans in Richmond were allowed in at 9 a.m. this morning, but some zealous fans -- okay, really overzealous fans -- lined up much, much earlier. Like at 1:30 in the morning.

The first fan in line was grandmother Diane Portee, who slept for only two hours to arrive at the training facility at such an ungodly hour.

Here was a segment of the line around 6 a.m. this morning...

...And right before doors opened at 9 a.m.

And again.

Here's a dog.
