Our Favorite Wizards Moments

When John Wall was asked what his favorite moment of the season was, he didn’t hesitate before answering.

“The road win in Cleveland,” Wall told the Washington Post.

It was the first road win of the season, after a franchise record 26-game road losing streak. The Wizards went on to win three more on the road and ended the whispers of them going 0-fer in visiting barns.

It got us thinking: What were some of our favorite moments this season?

John Wall's Triple-Double

In his sixth game with the Wizards, Wall became the third-youngest player in NBA history to record a triple-double. May it be the first of many.

Jordan Crawford's triple-double

No team in NBA history had ever had two rookies record triple-doubles in the same season. Crawford changed that, recording 21/11/10 in a win over the Cavaliers. Just another taste of what fans might see as the young team comes together next season.

Nick Young's 360 degree layup

"I look forward to seeing that on YouTube," he said at the time. We look forward to seeing more like this next year.

JaVale's block of the year

We said it then and we'll say it now. This was one sick block.

Cartier Martin's Game One buzzer beater

Martin came off the bench and drained this 3 in the home opener against the Sixers to put the fans into a frenzy and the game into overtime. The Wiz would go on to beat Philadelphia 116-115.

John Wall taking a swing at Ilgauskus

We don't condone fighting, either on the court or off. But seeing the normally subdued Wall get frisky gave the team a bit of swagger and showed some of the spark that we could see next year.
