Natitude Spreads to "Shark Week"

A cruise ship battered by rough seas and powerful winds in the Atlantic Ocean cut short its voyage and docked at its New Jersey port Wednesday night, as thousands of weary passengers streamed out of the ship what one woman called "a cruise from hell." Discovery Channel is celebrating the 25th anniversary of "Shark Week" this week, which always seems to whip fans into a frenzy not unlike the kind depicted by documentarians on our televisions.

Meanwhile, the Washington Nationals have been doing the same to baseball fans all season long as they have surged to the best record in baseball.

Tuesday, the two collided as Shark Week's official Twitter account embraced Natitude:

Coincidentally, Bernandina -- affectionally known as "Shark" -- has been tearing it up (more shark humor) since "Shark Week" began, hitting .500 with three RBIs. It just seems right.

Natitude is spreading like an epidemic. Now that sounds like a Discovery Channel documentary to me.
