NFL to Reach Out to Robert Griffin III About Covering Nike Swoosh Sunday

I guess you could say that the NFL doesn't like where Robert Griffin III's "heart" lies.

According to ESPN, league officials will talk to the Washington Redskins quarterback about covering up the Nike swoosh on his pregame warmups before Sunday's win over the New Orleans Saints.

RGIII, who has an endorsement deal with Nike competitor adidas, wrote the word "heart" with an extra-wide "H" to conceal the swoosh. Nike is in the first year of a five-year deal to be the NFL's official apparel supplier.

A NFL spokesman told ESPN.com that "it won't happen again." When asked about the matter at his weekly press conference Wednesday, Griffin was terse.

"I've not heard from the league yet," he said. "That's all I'll say about that."
