Maryland Uniform Announcement, Round 3

If you’re keeping track, you can cross the gold jersey/black pants/black helmet off of the list of Maryland uniform combinations yet to be used. Coach Randy Edsall announced the look as this Saturday’s choice via his Twitter feed.

Like last week, the option was chosen by the team’s captains. Hopefully, unlike last week, this color combo will come with a win attached.

Ten of the Maryland Pride jerseys and 10 helmets modeled by the team during the season opener against Miami were auctioned off by Maryland. According to school sources, the auction grossed more than $46,000 minus the actual cost of the equipment and auction fees. According to CNBC's Darren Rovell, the helmets alone went for a combined $32,527.

They only have to sell 25,517 more helmets and that pesky $83 million debt goes poof.

The Terps have a pair of Maryland Pride cleats and gloves now up for grabs. We’ll let you know when they start auctioning off players.
