John Wall Wins NBA Slam Dunk Contest

With the NBA descending upon New Orleans for All-Star Weekend, Washington Wizards guard John Wall put on one heck of a show, winning the league's annual slam dunk competition.

This season's contest featured a revised team format, where players competed as intra-conference teams: East v. West. No matter though, as Wall threw down the most impressive slam of the evening, jumping over mascot G-Man, pumping the ball between his legs and finishing with a reverse jam.

"Somebody sent me a YouTube link on my Twitter that said 27 dunks that haven't been done in the NBA dunk contest," Wall told reporters. "The first one was that one. It seemed hard but for me it came out to be easy. It worked out in my favor."

Wall's teammate, Bradley Beal, nearly pulled off the skills competition sweep for Washington, finishing second in the three-point competition to the San Antonio Spurs' Marco Belinelli.
