John Wall Suspended

The NBA has suspended John Wall for one game In response to the swing he took a Zydrunas Ilgauskas during Wednesday's game. Ilgauskas and Juwan Howard were both fined for their contributions to the incident.

Nobody has gotten too worked up about this, and Wall showed contrition following the altercation. That didn't stop Colin Cowherd from taking the chance to rip John Wall on his radio show.

"For the second time this year, he was ejected from a game. Threw a punch last night, although the John Wall fans will say he was provoked. He wasn’t. Miami’s Zydrunas Ilgauskas, like anybody in the NBA, has a right to personal space. You have a right to grab a ball and extend your elbows. That’s all he did."

Had Cowherd been paying attention, he would have realized that Ilgauskas was assessed a Flagrant Two and immediately ejected for his pursuit of "personal space."

The real shame of it all is that Wall's suspension means that WIzards fans will be robbed of the chance to see him in one of the last home games of the season.

Thanks to court stenographer Dan Steinberg for the Cohwerd transcription.
