John Wall, Ish Smith Trade Freakish Feats of Athleticism

If you've already tuned out the Washington Wizards, then you missed them nearly doubling their win total over the last week.

Last Monday, the Wizards stood -- or more appropriately, hung on for dear life -- at 4-28.

But three straight wins over the Thunder, Hawks and Magic have pushed them to only 21 games under .500 and 11.5 games out of a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference! (Per Elias, they're only the third team in NBA history with a winning percentage as low as .125 at least 20 games into a season to win three straight games.)

That's not so exciting, but you know what was? Two feats of freakish athleticism that took place between John Wall and Magic guard Ish Smith. And actually getting to see what highlights look like.

Yeah, I had never heard of them, either.

Smith went first, literally jumping over Wall after biting on a pump fake, only to recover and block the shot.

That Ish crazy, yo.

Not to be outdone, Wall exacted a little revenge by absolutely breaking Smith's ankles with a nasty crossover.

Huh. So this is what it's like to have professional basketball in Washington.
