Jim Larranaga Floats, Stings Like Muhammad Ali After Miami Defeats Illinois to Advance in NCAA Tournament

The first three rounds of the NCAA tournament have come to an end, and the field of 68 has been whittled down to just 16 teams.

Four of them -- Indiana, Miami, Marquette and Syracuse -- will head to Verizon Center this weekend to determine which one will make the Final Four. Of course, Miami is coached by Jim Larranaga, the former coach of George Mason who coincidentally led his upstart Patriots team to the Final Four in 2006 through Verizon Center.

The Hurricanes outlasted the Illinois Fighting Illini 63-59 to advance, and after the game, Larranaga praised his team's tenacity by comparing them to Muhammad Ali... and then floating and/or stinging like Muhammad Ali.

I think the video speaks for itself.

Miami will face Marquette Thursday at 7:15 p.m. downtown. Indiana-Syracuse will follow at approximately 9:45 p.m. The two winners will then meet Saturday with a Final Four berth at stake.
