JaVale McGee Productive, Hits Game-Winner In Nuggets Debut

When Denver Nuggets center JaVale McGee arrived in town after being traded from the Washington Wizards last Thursday, he told the Nuggets' official website that he is "not a loser just because I was on a losing team."

In his Denver debut Wednesday, he actually proved that to be true.

McGee, who scored 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds, collected Arron Afflalo's missed free throw, muscled Detroit Pistons center/former Georgetown star Greg Monroe out of the lane (adding salt to the local wounds) and slammed in the rebound to lift the Nuggets a 116-115 win over the Pistons.

According to McGee, it was his first game-winner, which of course he waited to deliver until after he left D.C.

Seriously, congratulations to McGee on starting his Nuggets career on the right foot. Hey Denver, if he starts doing anything like this (and history proves that he will), give us a call.
