The Washington Redskins invited a former high school football star recently exonerated from a rape charge to a one-day workout at Redskins Park.
In 2002, a woman accused linebacker Brian Banks of rape. He spent more than five years in prison and had to register as a sex offender.
Tecently, his accuser recanted her story, and the conviction was thrown out.
An NFL trainer said even though Banks hasn't played football in a decade, he's been working out nonstop to try to get back into the game. Several teams have invited him to work out.
