The Washington Redskins are doing their best to make everybody forget about their 45-21 shellacking at the hands of the Denver Broncos Sunday, but they are going about the wrong way.
It began with former defensive end Dexter Manley, who was making one of his regular appearances on WTOP Monday morning.
During a playful dialogue where Manley joked that Peyton Manning makes defenders wet themselves, among other things, the hosts then directed the conversation toward Troy Aikman, who provided color commentary in Denver.
"Was it a big jinx that Troy Aikman was doing the game, the former Cowboy?" Manley was asked.
"I think Troy was a q***r," he responded.
Manley recanted, but that was not enough for WTOP Vice President of News and Programming Jim Farley, who tweeted that Manley will no longer appear on his airwaves.
@mypettyhates We are shocked and stunned. Needless to say, Dexter Manley will not be on WTOP again. #WTOP — Jim Farley (@JFarleyWTOP) October 28, 2013
