Dalai Lama To Cleanse Verizon Center

The Verizon Center has been the setting of some bad luck in the past few years. Poor playoff performances, injuries, troubled players misbehaving and now a lockout.

Despite all best intentions, the bad karma continues.

So, it’s time to call in the big guns.

The Dalai Lama will be visiting the Verizon Center this week. As part of his visit, “His Holiness the Dalai Lama, along with the monks of Namgyal Monastery and senior lamas, will conduct rituals which prepare and consecrate the venue.”

The Dalai Lama is here for the Kalachakra for World Peace (not to be confused with Metta World Peace), and will have a public birthday celebration Tuesday morning at the Verizon Center.

While he’s there, maybe he can visit the locker rooms and do some additional cleansing of the bad karma that permeates the place.
