Eli’s Cheesecake Company has been invited to create a huge cheesecake to be served at the Commander in Chief Ball on Jan. 20.
The Chicago bakery will make a 500-pound cheesecake with an apple-flavored middle layer, reports the Wall Street Journal.

Eli's had a pan specialy designed for the cake, which bases measures 42 inches in diameter, according to the Journal.
Several large ovens at Eli’s will be used to bake the layers, which will be assembled once it gets to D.C.
The cake will be served to the 3,000 Purple Heart recipients and military families expected to attend the ball with any leftovers going to a D.C. foodbank, reports the Journal.
