Well, this one is definitely a treat for shopaholics. Enjoy a howling good time in historic Old Town Alexandria for Trick or Treat With the Boutiques from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Halloween. You and your goulish gang can dress in costume (you know you want to) while you browse through shops like Treat and Shoe Hive, and grab treats from the featured stores.

The Boutique District features 19 shops with beloved brands like L.A.M.B, Kiehls and Tory Burch. The best part is that it’s located only about four miles from downtown D.C. -- but if your broomstick is on the fritz, you'll have to take the Metro. Ugh, we hate non-magical travel.

Check out some highlights below:

Treat (103 S. St. Asaph St.) will hold its third annual handbag extravaganza, offering an extra 20 percent off every handbag in stock. Brands include Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors and Roberto Cavalli. (Start your drooling ... now). Plus, trick-or-treaters of ALL ages can snack on treats.

For the more refined palate, La Cuisine (323 Cameron St.) hosts a tasting of olive oils from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Watch as Sabrina Irby of Terre de Provence makes a spiced roasted pumpkin dip to taste with her newest olive oils. The shop is also offering a 15 percent discount on all tasting-related items.

Continuing on the more-refined line, head to Grape + Bean (118 S. Royal St.) for a wine flight and food pairing. No tricks, just treats, but you don't know what you'll get -- maybe a mixed flight or maybe all reds. You'll just have to wait to find out.

The Sugar Cube (210 N. Lee St.) hosts a tasting of caramel apples from 1 to 4 p.m. Try tart Granny Smith apples with homemade caramel, plain or in roasted almond pieces.
