Good, 'cause Nordstrom Rack is coming to Pentagon Centre

Ambitious-but-broke shoppers, start your engines. When it comes to high end and budget friendly, Nordstrom Rack is the place to go. Now the retailer says it will open a new 34,000-square-foot store in Arlington's Pentagon Centre (1201 S. Hayes St.) in fall 2010.

The retail store will be the fourth Nordstrom Rack store in the D.C. area -- but more importantly, it's the first Metro-accessible one. We fully expect to see D.C.'s frugal elite tussling over the last pair of Cole Haan booties.

Sure, Pentagon Centre is kinda like the hillbilly relative to the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City right across the street, but budget shoppers can't afford to be picky, right? The Rack will join other downscaled shops at the location such as Costco and Marshall's.
