You’ve seen their furnishings in every magazine, on the sets of "Sex and The City," "Celebrity Apprentice" and "The Office" and in hotels like the Ritz-Carlton. But on Tuesday, on the ninth leg of their book tour, the “Kings of Comfort,” Mitchell Gold and Bob Williams, are in the D.C. area and they’re painting the town a comfy scarlet.

Bloomingdale’s of Chevy Chase (5300 Western Avenue, Chevy Chase) is hosting this dynamic design duo while they unveil their new book and their new “Modern Lines” collection.

In celebration of the company’s 20th anniversary, Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams recently released an anniversary book called “The Comfortable Home,” which explains ways to truly love your home and to make it as comfortable as possible. With chapters named “City Nest,” “Modern Cottage,” and ‘The Living Room,” these two style mavens plan to teach us a thing or two about style in any setting.

From 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Gold and Williams will be available to share their design expertise and sign copies of their book on the third level of Bloomingdales.

You can purchase their furnishings through Bloomingdale’s or at their freestanding stores nationwide. Ten percent of proceeds made during this event will benefit the local charity partner, Washington Human Society’s Fashion for Paws.
