With only a little more than a month left in summer (sigh), maybe it's time you refreshed your beauty routine and prepared to look your best for these last few sweltering weeks. Especially since -- well, have you LOOKED at those toes lately? Yikes. They're not exactly sandal-ready.
So stop by the Style & Image Network's Summer Beauty Night Out this Wednesday from 5-10 p.m. at the Beacon Hotel (1615 Rhode Island Ave. N.W.). You can get your tickets online for $25 (or $35 at the door), but only those who purchased tickets in advance will receive swag bags -- so in fact, you'll get more for less. Just like your makeup should be. Not that we're judging, sweetie.
Guests at the event can luxuriate in the glory of makeovers, massages and mini-manicures, while shopping for the latest beauty and fashion products, treatments and accessories. And you won't have to bother with dinner plans thanks to the free cocktails and hors d'oeuvres provided during this pampering session.
And as always, you can feel good about your little splurges because a portion of the ticket sales will go to Through the Kitchen Door, which helps to increase the confidence, knowledge and skills of recent immigrants and low-income families through training in the kitchen. So for once, it's not just about finding that perfect shade of gloss-- although that couldn't hurt.
