Last week, the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) announced changes to its Home Purchase Assistance Program (HPAP), which provides funds for closing costs and down payments for moderate/low income residents. “Adjustment to the assistance table was necessary due to the current economy and the real estate market,” the agency’s press release stated.
