Matchbox Opening Location on Capitol Hill

The popular pizza bistro pepares for the opening of a second location in D.C.

Matchbox Restaurant in Chinatown will be opening another location to the public this Friday night. The pizza bistro has quickly become a city favorite as people daily flock to the restaurant.

Matchbox owners decided to open a new location on Capitol Hill. The restaurant will feature the same menu under a new chef, Shannon Trancoso. Offered will be sandwiches, salads, entrees, and pizza, with average bills around $22 - $27.

Whether you have always been a Matchbox fan or you haven’t visited the restaurant yet, head down to Capitol Hill this Friday and check out their new location. The restaurant will be only offering dinner at first, opening at 5 p.m. The last seating will be10:30 p.m. daily. Depending on the first 2 to 3 weeks, the goal is to eventually be open from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
