Gird Your Arteries: D.C. Meat Week Awaits

Meat It, Just Meat It

It's billed as the Holiday That Time Forgot. Fortunately, you can help it remember again, with D.C. Meat Week running from Sunday, Jan. 30 through Sunday, Feb. 6.

Sure, you might not be feeling so hot after eight nights of meat, but then you can detox with nachos during the Super Bowl... right? Events include previews from PORC and Pork Barrel -- and a visit from the Mr P's Ribs & Seafood bus, which will swing by the parking lot of the Safeway at 514 Rhode Island Ave. N.E.

Specials include Rocklands' "Belly Buster," (a platter of two ribs, sausage, a quarter chicken and brisket) for $9.99 on Feb. 4).

You can see the complete schedule here. We know you won't let the meat down.
