Split ends gettin' you down? Well, for once, it's a good thing you've been neglecting your tresses. Starting Sunday, Alexandre de Paris Beauty Spa Centre (12751 Federal Systems Park Drive, Fairfax, Va.) is hosting a complimentary Hair Makeover Event, 8 a.m-8 p.m through Tuesday.

Alexandre de Paris (yes, he's a real person) and his team are offering red-carpet worthy styling free of charge for those looking to re-enter the job market, prepping for an interview or wanting to look and feel their best during these less-than-inspiring economic times.

"Due to the economic downturn, people are finding it increasingly difficult to make ends meet and employment opportunities are few and far between," said de Paris in a press release. "As concerned members of the community, we at Alexandre de Paris feel that we can use our expertise to help people feel hopeful. We want to be the upside of a downward trend."

We don't know about you, but there's something about freshly styled hair that just makes us giddy.

After enjoying the free pampering, show your appreciation by making a donation to Dress for Success, a nonprofit org that provides clothing, training and mentoring to women transitioning from welfare to the workforce. We'd say that's money well-spent.

Post-makeover, flip your new Jennifer Aniston-worthy hair and get ready to take the job market by storm.

Participants will be served on a first-come, first-serve basis, and must be at least 18 years old to receive services. No appointments are taken, so bring your Kindle or a patient pal. For more information, visit the salon's Web site
