McCain Shows His Rock-Star Side
Aerosmith's Joe Perry visits Capitol Hill

If we wrote the following sentence five years ago, would you believe it?
"Sen. John McCain tweeted to his followers on Wednesday a picture of himself hanging out on Capitol Hill with Aerosmith's Joe Perry."
We've come a long way from the days of Page 6 in the New York Post...
McCain showed his rock star side Wednesday by kickin' it with the famous guitarist (and Perry's wife, Billie) and then tweeting about it.
Did they discuss love in an elevator? How some dudes in Congress look like ladies? Perhaps.
But there was also a serious side to the meeting. The pair will be meeting again from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at the Capitol Visitors Center Auditorium for a panel discussion on science for an organization called Rock Stars of Science. Oh yeah, Perry will be jamming out, as well. No word on if McCain will be providing backup.

Perry, by the way, endorsed McCain in the 2008 presidential election. Clearly that endorsement pushed him over the top.
