Whoever said that wine is the only acceptable beverage at a nice dinner is wrong, wrong, wrong.

Birreria Paradiso (3282 M St. N.W.) looks to disprove such wine loyalists with two FarmFresh Local Beer Dinners on Saturday, July 13 with seatings at 6:30 and 9 p.m. Make sure to reserve your spot soon (like, NOW), as the event is sure to book up quickly.

The four-course meal will be prepared from straight-from-the-market ingredients; courses will be paired with six beers from six local breweries, allowing diners to get a taste of local ingredients and regional cooking.

For $75, this special dinner is actually a bargain, considering all of the grub and suds you will enjoy in return. Part of the night's proceeds will benefit FreshFarm Markets, so you can feel good about returning the favor to those nice farmers who grew the meal's fresh ingredients. Then everyone can be happy. Aww.
