Teen heartthrobs the Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus will headline an inaugural concert Monday at the Verizon Center.
The "Kids' Inaugural: We Are The Future" concert will honor military families and will be hosted by Michelle Obama, Dr. Jill Biden and their families. While the exact time of the concert was not immediately known, it will air on the Disney Channel from 8-9:30 p.m. Jan. 19 and will be simulcast on Radio Disney.
The Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus will be joined by Demi Lovato, Bow Wow, Billy Ray Cyrus, Keke Palmer and Usher. More musical acts will be announced.
Thousands of tickets have been made available to military families across the region. The Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC), working closely with the Armed Forces Inaugural Committee (AFIC), has transferred these tickets to the Department of Defense for distribution.
The PIC is also working with community groups to distribute tickets to families in the D.C. area free of charge. For ticket info, visit www.pic2009.org.
