Madame Tussauds Readies for Presidential Election
Wax museum will be ready on day one

When a new president is sworn in on Jan. 20, Madame Tussauds wax museum will be ready.
On Monday, the museum released photos of clay head molds of the two presidential nominees, John McCain and Barack Obama.
Artists have been working long hours to produce the clay head molds, which is considered a crucial step to finishing the wax figures.
The museum is now waiting, like the rest of America, to see who wins on Nov. 4.
Normally, it takes about six months to complete a wax figure. Artists will be working around the clock to make sure they will meet the Inauguration Day deadline.
The new presidential figure will appear in Madame Tussauds museums in D.C., New York City and Las Vegas.
"Madame Tussauds is 100 percent committed to unveiling a wax figure of the new president in all three of our U.S. attractions on Inauguration Day. In fact, we could not imagine chronicling this historical moment in our country's history," said Janine DiGioacchino, general manager of Madame Tussauds New York and Washington, D.C.
Madame Tussauds wax museum opened on Oct. 5, 2007. It is located in the old Woodward & Lothrup building at 10th and F streets Northwest.
